The Thai military have informed a former politician from the Pheu Thai party that he will be taken in for an attitude adjustment session over remarks against the junta leader.

Matichon Online reported on Friday, 25 March 2016, that Worachai Hema, former Member of Parliament for Samut Prakan Province from the Pheu Thai Party, told media that military officers had informed him that they will take him for a so-called attitude adjustment session.

The military told him that they will visit him on Saturday morning and take him in for the session.

Earlier, the former MP told the media that Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha, the junta leader and Prime Minister, should resign if the current draft constitution does not pass the upcoming public referendum.

Worachai said that he is not afraid and that the authorities can take him for an attitude adjustment session any time since they have absolute power, Matichon Online reported.

The former politician added that he only made the statement about the junta leader because he lived through the violent military crackdown which ended in a bloodbath during the 1992 Black May when people protested against Gen Suchinda Kraprayoon, a former dictator, and he does not want history to repeat itself.
