The Thai junta leader and prime minister suggested the cabinet members to read The Governance of China, a book authored by Chinese president, citing that Thailand is in reform period like China’s.
On Tuesday, 12 April 2016, Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul, the Minister of Tourism and Sport, told media at the Government House that Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha, the junta leader and PM, introduced “The Government of China”, a book authored by Xi Jinping, President of People’s Republic of China, to the cabinet members, reported Matichon Online.
Kobkarn said the PM suggested this book since President Xi discusses political administration of China during a political reform in the book and Thailand is undergoing the period of political reform as well, reported Maichon Online.
According to Amazon, the book is a compilation of Xi Jinping’s major works from November 15, 2012 to June 13, 2014; it comprises 79 speeches, talks, interviews, instructions and correspondence in 18 chapters. Each item is accompanied by relevant notes about China’s social system, history and culture for readers reference. It also includes 45 photos taken at different stages of Xis life, providing readers with more information about his work and life.
