5.30 p.m., on the Sky Walk near BTS Siam and Chitlom stations, a group of activists gathered to do their "silent reading," opposing the military rule. They grouped into four and read silently. The "silent reading" activities have started since May 27 when a group of people read stood together into a group of four, and read books such as George Orwell's "1984," and "Noli Me Tangere" by a Filipino revolutionary writer Jose Rizal in various spots of Bangkok city centers.
