The military has released Suthachai Yimprasert, a red-shirt historian lecturer at Chulalongkorn University, about 5pm, after he reported himself to the military junta among ten other activists, on Tuesday morning.
He was released on the condition that he will not join any anti-coup activity and not write about the lese majeste law.
Suthachai said he did not about the fate of others.
Tewarit Maneechay, a Prachatai journalist who was summoned on the same order as Surachai, has not been released.
At least 10 of 28 people, most of them political activists, reported themselves on Tuesday morning.
