Nitirat’s ‘Nullification of the effects of the 2006 coup’ event, to be held this Sunday 22 January, has been moved from the Faculty of Law to the Sriburapha Auditorium at the Tha Prachan campus of Thammasat University, as the Faculty of Law was concerned that there would be a lot of people and the noise would disturb classes.
Nitirat originally booked the LT1 room at the Faculty for the event because it can be used for free for academic purposes. However, the group has to pay more than 10,000 baht to use Sriburapha Auditorium instead.
The Thammasat administration has also forbidden stalls selling merchandise around the auditorium. So Nitirat asks those who will attend the event to cooperate, as it does not want to jeopardize the possibility of future use of the venue.
The schedule remains the same, starting from 1pm:
• Nullification of the legal effects of the 2006 coup
• Q&A
• Refutation of reactions to Nitirat’s proposals and distribution of a manual on the nullification of the effects of the coup
• Proposed methodology of conceiving a new constitution and its key framework
Participants will receive limited copies of a ‘People’s Manual to Overthrow Coups’.
